The RV200 VanVan takes the idea of the RV125 a step further: the same relaxed character and fat tyres, with a larger single-cylinder engine. It is a bike for towns, coast roads and country lanes, and on those roads one situation comes up more than most: a car waiting at a side road, its driver looking straight at you and pulling out all the same. Accossato's EDF014 for the RV200 VanVan of 2016 and 2017 is an aluminium brake lever, machined on CNC equipment, that fits the original master cylinder and has an adjustable reach.

Construction and Material Quality
The EDF014 is shaped from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards. On every version the hub is black; it is where the lever pivots and where the reach adjuster sits. The blade is anodised in the colour you pick. An anodised surface is hard and does not peel, and on a bike like the RV200 that often stands outside by the sea or on a city street, that matters more than a shiny coat of paint would. There is no folding joint: the lever is one rigid piece from hub to tip.
The Car at the Side Road
A small motorcycle presents a narrow outline, and drivers looking for a gap in traffic are scanning for cars and lorries. That is why a car pulling out of a side road or a driveway is one of the most common hazards for riders of bikes like the RV200 VanVan. Much of the defence happens before the brake is touched. Ride where you can be seen, away from the kerb, ease off as you approach a junction where a car is waiting, and watch its front wheel rather than the driver's face, because a turning wheel is the first sign of movement. The lever's part is to be ready. With a car poised to pull out, rest two fingers on the blade and take up its free travel, so braking starts the moment that wheel moves. This only works comfortably if the blade sits within easy reach while the hand keeps its hold on the throttle, and the short blade suits riders who cover the brake with two fingers.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF014 for the RV 200 Van Van for 2016 and 2017, and it replaces the original lever on the stock master cylinder. The matching ESS248 clutch lever is listed for the 2016 model year only. Black and red are made as standard levers; silver comes standard or short; blue, gold, green and orange are available short, standard and long.
Road Approval
There is no documented German ABE for the EDF014 on the RV200 VanVan; we sell it for the track.
