The Multistrada 950 is light and friendly enough to make a gravel detour look tempting, and plenty of owners take it. On a loose surface the front brake behaves differently: the tyre has less to bite on, and a sudden squeeze can push the front wheel sideways before you realise it. What you need then is a lever that responds to small movements of the fingers. Accossato's EDF099 is a machined aluminium brake lever for the Multistrada 950 from 2019 to 2021, with adjustable reach and blades in three lengths.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces the EDF099 on CNC machines, cutting it from aluminium rather than casting it. After machining, the lever is anodised, which colours the blade and turns the surface into a hard oxide layer that resists dust, water and the odd stone thrown up by the front wheel. The hub stays black on every version. The blade is fixed to it without a joint, so the lever feels the same however rough the road gets.
Loose Surfaces From the Saddle
Riding a Multistrada 950 seated on gravel, most of your braking should happen before the bike starts to turn, in a straight line and with a gentle hand. The rear brake does more work than usual, and the front is added progressively, never snatched. That progression lives in the first part of the lever travel, and it is only possible when the lever sits right under the fingers instead of having to be reached for.
Bring the reach in so that two fingers rest lightly on the blade while you ride. With the hand already in position, the front brake can be fed in by very small amounts, and you feel sooner when the tyre starts to lose grip. The short blade suits this style and is made in blue, green, orange, gold and silver. If you mostly ride on tarmac and only occasionally on gravel, the standard length is the more versatile choice.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF099 for the Multistrada 950 and the 950 S from 2019 to 2021. The first 950 models of 2017 and 2018 are not on that list, so if your bike is older, please ask us before ordering. The matching clutch lever for the 950 is the ESH011.
Road Approval
We supply the EDF099 for track use. A German ABE is not documented.
