Track bikes are often shared. Two friends split the cost of an RSV4 RR, a parent and a grown-up son or daughter take turns in the sessions, or a small team runs one bike for two riders at an endurance event. Every change of rider brings a different hand to the brake lever, and a position that suits one person can feel wrong to the other. The Accossato EDF099 is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the RSV4 RR, listed for 2015 to 2019, with a reach adjuster that lets each rider restore their own setting and a choice of three blade lengths.

Construction and Material Quality
A shared bike passes through more hands, and its controls see more use. The EDF099 is milled from a solid aluminium blank on CNC machines and then anodised, a finish that forms part of the metal and stands up to gloves and regular cleaning. The hub carries the pivot and the reach adjuster and is always black. The blade is coloured and rigid from hub to tip, without a folding joint that might loosen after a busy season.
One Bike, Two Riders
Hands differ more than riders expect. One rider brakes with two fingers and wants the blade close; the other uses three and sets it a little further out, so that all three fingers reach it without crowding the grip. On a shared RSV4 RR, the reach adjuster lets both keep their preferred setting, provided everyone knows what that setting is. Find each rider's position once, in their own gloves, and mark it, so that the changeover in the pit box is a routine step rather than a guess on the out-lap.
Blade length cannot be swapped between sessions, so it has to be a compromise both riders accept. The standard blade of about 138 mm, available in every colour, is the natural middle ground. If both riders brake with two fingers, the short blade in blue, gold, green, orange or silver is worth a look; if one of them needs room for a large hand, the long version in blue, gold, green or orange will suit that rider better. Agree on it before ordering, and make the lever check part of every rider change, together with tyre pressures and fuel.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF099 for the RSV4 RR from 2015 to 2019, where it replaces the stock lever on the original front master cylinder. The same reference covers other RSV4 versions and the RS 660. On the left-hand side, Accossato names the ESV004 clutch lever for the RSV4 RR over the same model years.
Road Approval
The EDF099 carries no documented German ABE. It is therefore sold for use on closed circuits.
