A homologated full system with an Italian Ministry of Transport certificate behind it — and three kilos less than the exhaust Triumph fitted. Spark's Trident 660 system pairs a racing catalyst with a pre-silencer box, and the approval comes from that combination rather than from a restricted silencer.
Key Features
- Homologated full system for the Triumph Trident 660, Tiger Sport 660 and Daytona 660, 2021 to 2026.
- 5.0 kg against 8.1 kg standard — 3.1 kg saved.
- Moto GP silencer, short case with a large outlet.
- AISI 304 stainless steel collector and pre-silencer box, Scotch-Brite finish.
- Racing catalytic converter, heavily impregnated with noble metals.
- Certificate issued by the Italian Ministry of Transport.
Check Your Homologation Number
Spark asks buyers to do something most manufacturers do not: confirm that the approval actually covers your motorcycle. The certificate lists specific homologation numbers, and Spark publishes them so they can be matched against the vehicle documents.
The numbers are e9*168/2013-2020*11674, e9*168/2013-2019*11675 and e9*168/2013-2020*11675, all with engine code U. If your registration document shows one of those, the system is approved for your bike. If it shows something else, ask us before ordering rather than after.
One Lambda Sensor or Two
Spark changed this system in production. Kits delivered before the end of February have a single lambda sensor socket; those from the beginning of March onwards have a fitting for the second sensor as well.
Triumph's later machines run two sensors, so this matters. Current stock carries the dual predisposition — but if you are buying a system that has been sitting somewhere for a while, it is worth confirming which version it is before the fairing comes off.
Where the Approval Lives
Two components do the regulatory work. The racing catalytic converter is heavily soaked with noble metals, which is what lets it clean the gas without behaving like a restriction. The pre-silencer box ahead of the silencer takes the sharpness out of the pressure pulse.
Between them the silencer is left free to be what it is — a Moto GP case, short and wide at the outlet. That architecture is why a Spark homologated system sounds like a Spark system rather than like a muffled one.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Trident 660, Tiger Sport 660 and Daytona 660, 2021 through 2026. The dark version is GTR8818DOM and the black ceramic GTR8818BOM. With the Evo V silencer the system is GTR8819IOM; with the Grid-O, GTR8820TOM. For the 2025 machines the equivalents are GTR8830 and GTR8831.
Road Approval
Homologated, with a certificate from the Italian Ministry of Transport. Check the homologation number against your vehicle documents.
