DescriptionThe whole story▼
Precision-engineered from aerospace-grade aluminium, the Sitta 202P rear sprocket is purpose-built for the Aprilia RSV4 family — delivering a dialled-in combination of low unsprung weight, precise power transfer, and genuine long-term durability whether you are chasing lap times or covering serious road miles.
Key Features
- High-grade aluminium construction keeps unsprung weight to a minimum while maintaining the structural rigidity demanded by RSV4 power delivery
- Exclusive 525 pitch — optimised for maximum drivetrain longevity and compatibility across the entire RSV4 / RSV4 1100 range
- Wide tooth selection from 37 to 48 teeth lets you fine-tune your gearing to suit your riding style, circuit layout, or road-riding preference
- Hard-anodised finish option offers superior surface hardness and wear resistance compared to standard anodising — ideal for track use or high-mileage riders
- Available in seven finishes — silver, black, hard-anodised, red, gold, blue, orange, and green — so the sprocket complements your RSV4's livery rather than hiding behind it
- 5-bolt carrier pattern 100/120 ensures a straightforward, rattle-free installation with no modifications required
Gearing Guide — Choosing the Right Tooth Count
Selecting the correct rear sprocket tooth count has a direct and meaningful effect on how your RSV4 accelerates and pulls through the rev range. A smaller sprocket shortens your overall gearing, raising top speed and reducing engine revs at motorway cruising speeds. A larger sprocket lengthens the gearing ratio, sharpening initial acceleration and mid-range punch — an advantage on technical circuits or twisty mountain roads where drive out of slow corners matters most.
- 37–42 teeth: taller overall gearing — more top speed, relaxed cruising revs, ideal for fast open circuits and motorway touring
- 43–48 teeth: shorter overall gearing — stronger acceleration, more responsive throttle, suited to tight technical tracks and spirited road riding
Construction and Finish
Every Sitta 202P sprocket is machined from high-grade aluminium billet, keeping rotating mass low without sacrificing the tensile strength needed to cope with the RSV4's considerable torque output. The hard-anodised variant takes durability a step further: the treatment penetrates the aluminium surface to create a hardened outer layer that resists wear, corrosion, and chain abrasion more effectively than conventional anodising. For riders who want a balance of personalisation and protection, the full colour range — silver, black, red, gold, blue, orange, and green — is anodised to a consistent, chip-resistant standard.
