Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04776-01

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. Öhlins publishes them in the exploded view so a workshop can order the whole position at once. These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 04776-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04776-01

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04776-01_da2c17fb-4e57-4f2e-aa88-1566419ac627.png?v=1788873533
