The XP530 replaced the 500 with more capacity and, on this generation, traction control alongside the ABS. JP ABSY 003 addresses both systems, which is why it is not interchangeable with the part used on the earlier machine.

Two Systems, Not One
On the 530 the control unit handles wheel-speed-based traction control as well as anti-lock braking. Removing the unit therefore disables both, and an eliminator that only answered for the ABS side would leave a second fault standing. This part covers the pair, which is the reason for its own number.
Traction Control on a Scooter
It sounds unnecessary until you meet a painted line in the rain on a machine with a CVT and instant drive. The system earns its place on the road. On a dry circuit with slicks, a rider who knows what they are doing may prefer it gone — and that is the entire scope of this part.
Get the Generation Right
500, 530 and 560 T-MAX all take different eliminators. Checking the model year before ordering matters more on this machine than on almost anything else in the range, because the three generations look far more alike than their electronics are.

Road Approval
None, and here two approved systems are being removed rather than one. Anti-lock braking has been compulsory on new machines above 125 cc in the EU since 1 January 2016, and the 530's traction control is part of the same approved specification. Removing the unit puts the scooter outside its homologation and off the public road. Circuit and competition use only.
