DescriptionThe whole story

The front cowl is the panel that decides whether a race fairing looks right on the bike or merely fits it. Kawasaki gave the seventh-generation ZX-10R a genuinely new face for 2026 — compact projector and reflector hybrid headlights, a repositioned Ram Air intake and the large winglets that generate the model's additional downforce — so nothing from the 2021 to 2025 bike carries over here. CK26210 is Carbonin's answer: a one-piece carbon upper moulded around the new intake position and the new winglet mounting points, drilled for quarter-turn fasteners so a session-ending crash costs minutes rather than an afternoon.

Key Features

  • Moulded specifically for the 2026 Gen 7 cowl geometry, including the relocated Ram Air duct
  • Quarter-turn Dzus fasteners throughout for removal without tools in the pit lane
  • Prepreg carbon inner skin, vacuum bagged and autoclave cured for dimensional stability under heat
  • Buffed plane weave surface left without clearcoat, ready to paint or to run bare
  • No headlight aperture — the panel is a closed racing cowl, not a road replacement

How Carbonin Builds It

Carbonin lay the visible outer face as plane weave and back it with pre-impregnated carbon on the inside, then vacuum bag the whole moulding and cure it in an autoclave. That last step is what separates this panel from a wet-laid copy: pressure and heat drive out voids, so the laminate keeps its shape when the engine bay behind it gets hot and when airflow loads the nose at the end of a straight. The outer face is buffed to a gloss and deliberately left without clearcoat, which keeps the panel light and gives paint a proper key.

On the Bike

Fitting a race cowl changes how the front of the motorcycle is serviced. With Dzus fasteners the whole nose lifts away as one piece, so a rider can reach the steering damper, the loom behind the dash and the top of the radiator without disturbing the side panels. The panel carries no lighting apertures, which is what makes it legal for closed-course use and simultaneously what rules it out for the road: there is nowhere to mount a headlight and no provision to add one.

Fitment

Designed for the 2026 Kawasaki ZX-10 R and ZX-10 RR. The Gen 7 bodywork is shared between the two models, so both take the same cowl. Earlier ZX-10R generations use entirely different mouldings and are not compatible.

Road Approval

No approval document is supplied with this panel, and none exists for it. It is a racing component intended for closed circuits. Fitting it removes the headlights, which makes the motorcycle unusable on public roads in Germany and across the EU.
