DescriptionThe whole story▼
Most falls on a trail bike like the Honda CRF250F happen at walking pace, and a surprising number begin with the engine going quiet. A clutch released a fraction too early in a tight turn or on a rocky step, the four-stroke stalls, the bike stops dead and the rider's foot is not quite ready. That is the kind of moment the C7103 is made for, a folding clutch lever from Accossato for the CRF250F of 2019 to 2022. CNC-machined from Ergal 7075, it offers a long four-finger blade that sits on a joint, so a topple onto the left side can push it forward rather than break it.

Construction and Material Quality
Italian machine shops cut the C7103 from solid Ergal 7075, the grade of aluminium Accossato trusts for levers that have to be strong, light and reliable. Base and blade are separate pieces: the base, finished dark, sits on the pivot at the clutch perch, and the blade, black or red, hangs from it on the joint that allows it to fold. The blade is long, with space for four fingers, which spreads the pull across the whole hand and helps when the clutch has to be fed out gently at very low speed.
When the Engine Dies at Walking Pace
The stall-and-topple is common enough that riding coaches have routines to prevent it. Keep your fingers on the clutch lever in every slow section, ready to pull it the moment the revs sag. Hold the engine a little above idle instead of letting it labour. Look ahead rather than down at the front wheel, and keep the knees soft so the body can move when the bike stops. And practise stopping deliberately: clutch in, a touch of rear brake, foot down on the side where the ground is higher. A CRF250F is tolerant of slow riding, but no engine likes pulling from nothing in too high a gear.
Even so, it will happen. When it does, the bike tends to go over on the side where the ground falls away, and when that is the left, the clutch lever hits first. The C7103 has a joint for that moment, so its blade can fold forward rather than break at the tip. Stand the bike up, push the blade back, restart and carry on: that is the hope, and often the result, though a heavy landing on a sharp rock can still be too much for any lever. After a fall it is also worth checking the free play at the lever, because a knock to the perch can change it.
Fitment and Compatibility
On the Honda CRF250F of 2019 to 2022, the C7103 is listed for the original clutch perch. Accossato pairs it with the folding B8206 brake lever for the same years. The brake lever comes in four colours and the clutch lever in two, so black or red on both sides gives the CRF250F a matched set.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the C7103, which is sold for off-road riding. The CRF250F is not a road bike, and the lever is not meant for public roads either.
