Where a part supersedes an older number, Öhlins states it in the catalogue. Öhlins publishes an exploded view for each unit, and every position in it carries its own number. Service parts are what make an Öhlins unit worth rebuilding rather than replacing.

Original Öhlins Part

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 02217-24 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. This part comes from the same production line as the components it is fitted to. Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02217-24

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02217-24_7819dd61-333f-42fe-80d0-43aedda5ca54.png?v=1788871550
