Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge. Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 02212-07. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A hose-mounted reservoir lets the damper be fitted where a piggyback would not go. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02212-07

Category: Reservoirs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02212-07_a1372da6-d77f-4145-b333-7617a7db1dfd.png?v=1788871529
