DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 043 blanks the M1000R's cylinder head ports with a cover machined from solid.
Key Features
- BMW M1000R (2023–2026)
- Blanks the secondary air ports in the cylinder head
- Machined from solid aluminium
- O-ring sealed, no jointing compound
- Original fastener positions
- Standard housing refits at any time
What Stays After the Wiring
The reed housing on the head and its hose to the airbox. An electrical eliminator does not touch either of them.
An M Engine in a Naked Chassis
Two hundred and ten horsepower with no fairing. BMW applied the whole homologation recipe to a motorcycle that has no aerodynamic reason to want it.
Sealed on an O-Ring
A rubber ring in a turned groove against the head face, which comes apart cleanly years later and leaves nothing behind.
Carbon Wheels as an Option
Most buyers take them, which tells you what these motorcycles are used for. Removing rotating mass at that radius is the most effective change available.
Heat Cycles
Plastic bolted to a cylinder head endures the widest temperature swing on the bike. Aluminium is indifferent to it, which is the practical argument for the exchange.
Before the Dyno
Unmetered air after combustion makes gas analysis worthless, and an M1000R sees a dyno more often than most road bikes ever will.
Original Fasteners
BMW's own bolt positions and torque figures, with nothing drilled in the head.
The Airbox Side
Capping the head leaves the hose port open unless the plug is fitted too. The complete kit contains both.
Reversible
The standard housing refits with its own fasteners and no replacement seals.
Homologation
Where the system forms part of the approval, removing it ends road legality.
Bought to Be Used Hard
Nobody chooses an M1000R as a sensible naked bike, and the ones that exist see circuits, dynos and exhaust changes within their first year. The pattern is consistent enough to be predictable.
Two Hundred and Ten Horsepower, Upright
There is no fairing to hide behind and no reason the number should work in this chassis, and somehow it does. The electronics package is doing a great deal of the work and BMW has never pretended otherwise.
