DescriptionThe whole story▼
Used Dorsoduro 750s often come with a service book that records oil changes and new tyres in detail but says little about the rear brake. On a supermoto-styled bike that is ridden mostly with the front lever, the rear circuit is easy to forget, and its fluid can stay in the system for years longer than intended. Accossato's TS013 is an aluminium cap for the rear brake fluid reservoir of the Dorsoduro 750 from 2008 to 2016, CNC-machined and anodised in seven colours.
Key Features
- Rear brake fluid reservoir cap for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750, 2008 to 2016
- Dorsoduro 750 Factory of 2010 to 2013 also on Accossato's list
- Made for the original rear reservoir
- Aluminium, CNC-machined, anodised
- Seven colours: orange, blue, black, red, gold, silver, green
- Can be combined with Accossato's FP001 and TS004 for the same bike
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces the TS013 from aluminium, machines it on CNC equipment and anodises it in one of seven colours: orange, blue, black, red, gold, silver or green. The cap is designed for the original rear reservoir of the bikes on Accossato's list, so the master cylinder, the hose and the caliper stay as they are. Before the new cap goes on, press the rubber part under the old one between your fingers; if it no longer feels supple, a new one belongs in the reservoir.
A Page in the Service Log
Fitting a new rear reservoir cap is a good moment to bring the records of a Dorsoduro 750 up to date. Open the service book and look for the last entry that mentions the rear brake fluid. If there is none, or it is older than the interval in the owner's manual, plan a fluid change before the next season and write it down once it is done, with the date and mileage. When you work on the reservoir, stand the bike upright so the reservoir is level and the reading is meaningful; the fluid should sit between the minimum and maximum marks. Cover the paint and plastic parts nearby, because brake fluid attacks them, and wash away any spill with water at once. Work quickly, because an open reservoir lets humidity into the fluid. Once the TS013 is on and its fixings are gently tightened, press the pedal several times at a standstill. A pedal that feels firm and consistent means the job is finished, and a new line in the service book means the next owner will know it too.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list names the rear reservoir of the Dorsoduro 750 for the whole run from 2008 to 2016, plus the Factory built between 2010 and 2013. Inter-Pace offers the same cap for the Shiver 900, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 and the Honda CBR 1000 RR. The FP001 for the oil filler and the TS004 for the front reservoir complete Accossato's caps for this Dorsoduro. A look at the application list before you order avoids surprises.
Road Approval
Approval documents, whether an ABE or a test mark, are not available to us for the TS013; our listing is for track and competition use.
