DescriptionThe whole story▼

Lifting a modern GSX-R1000 onto a paddock stand in a crowded pit garage leaves little room to manoeuvre properly, and a stand that isn't quite seated under the spools can let the rear end drop onto concrete before anyone notices the mistake. For the GSX-R1000 built between 2017 and 2020, Accossato's PP076 rear axle sliders turn that one careless moment into a far cheaper outcome than a damaged swingarm casting would otherwise mean for the bike and its owner alike, in both time and money alike.

Key Features

  • Rear axle sliders for the Suzuki GSX-R1000, 2017 to 2020
  • Accossato part PP076, one protector for each side of the swingarm area
  • Aluminium combined with plastic, finished in black
  • Spacers, screws and further mounting parts in the kit, as stated by Accossato
  • Meant to touch down first during a paddock stand mishap or an on-track slide
  • Complements the PF053 front sliders and TP012 crash pads for this generation
  • Same PP076 rear axle fits only this later GSX-R1000 generation
  • No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use

Construction and Material Quality

The PP076 pair is moulded from aluminium and plastic, both units finished black and bolted one to each side of the swingarm and rear axle on this newer application. Accossato's kit bundles in the spacers and screws needed for mounting, plus whatever further parts it considers necessary. This later GSX-R1000's own swingarm dimensions aren't published anywhere in the material available to us, so no geometry is claimed.

A Crowded Pit Garage Leaves No Room for Error

Pit garages at a busy trackday are rarely spacious, and lifting a superbike onto a paddock stand among several other bikes and their owners' tool boxes means working with less clearance than anyone would really like. Even an experienced mechanic occasionally misjudges a stand in that environment, and a rear end that drops even briefly onto hard standing can mark a swingarm that's expensive and slow to replace, which is exactly what a slider is there to prevent, long before the bike has turned a single wheel in anger that day.

Fitment and Compatibility

Built between 2017 and 2020, the later GSX-R1000 takes this PP076 fitting specifically and only for that span; the earlier generation instead uses the related PP001 sliders, so confirm which particular generation your own bike actually is before placing any order.

Road Approval

Accossato supplies no German ABE or similar approval document for the PP076, so we list this pair for racing and competition use on the GSX-R1000 rather than for road use.

Scope of Delivery
