DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of riders return to motocross in their thirties or forties, after years of work and family, and a used 250 four-stroke is a popular way back. A TM Racing MX 250 four-stroke is one such bike. The first sessions tend to be humbling, with timing and braking points forgotten, and a few falls to go with them. Accossato's B8206 is a folding front brake lever for the MX 250 four-stroke from 2002 to 2019, milled from Ergal 7075 in Italy, with a hinged blade that has a chance of outliving those falls.

- Folding front brake lever for the TM Racing MX 250 four-stroke, 2002 to 2019

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's levers are milled, not cast: the B8206 is cut from a solid block of Ergal 7075, a high-strength aluminium alloy, on CNC machines in Italy. The company describes its aim as a lever that is strong, reliable and light. The lever has a dark base, fitted to the master cylinder, and a blade in black, blue, gold or red that is attached by a hinge and can fold. As a brake lever, the blade is the shorter of Accossato's two off-road shapes, designed for three fingers.
Back After Years Away
The body remembers more than the mind expects, but braking is usually what takes longest to come back. A returning rider on an MX 250 four-stroke tends to brake too early at first, then too late as confidence grows, with the front brake either underused or grabbed. The engine braking of a four-stroke adds to the confusion for anyone who last raced a two-stroke. It takes laps and patience to find the rhythm again, and a lever that feels the same every time helps the fingers relearn it.
In that phase, small crashes are almost part of the plan. The front tucks on a slippery turn, a foot catches a rut, and the TM is on its side. On impact, the B8206's blade can pivot forward at its hinge, so the lever has a fair chance of being usable when the bike is picked up. Riders coming back to the sport on a budget will appreciate every lever they do not have to buy. It cannot survive every crash, but it can save a practice day from ending in the car park with a bent brake lever.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's listing for the B8206 covers the TM Racing MX 250 four-stroke from 2002 to 2019, divided into bikes up to 2009 and bikes from 2010, and the lever fits the original front brake master cylinder throughout. The C7283 folding clutch lever is available for the 2010 to 2019 bikes; older MX 250 four-strokes can only be fitted with the brake lever from this range. Gold is offered for the brake lever alone.
Road Approval
No German ABE is documented for the B8206. It is intended, like the MX 250 four-stroke, for motocross tracks and off-road use.
