Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Key Features

Dimension A 36 mm

Öhlins part number 21005-17

Dimension B 141 mm

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

At 36 mm, 141 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21005-17. dimension a 36 mm, dimension b 141 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A bent inner tube is scrap — straightening changes the wall and it bends again. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21005-17

Category: Inner Tubes

Dimension A: 36 mm

Dimension B: 141 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21005-17_e31d73d4-76fa-4b03-98bc-c9a422e3a2f3.png?v=1788879229
