Fitting a quick-action throttle to a Brutale 800 displaces the right-hand controls. The JP PDQ MV002 carries them on a bar clamp of their own, in titanium.

Cable, Not Wire
This generation of Brutale uses a conventional cable throttle, so a quick-action conversion changes the diameter of the drum the cables wrap around. The mechanism is entirely mechanical, which makes the change cheap, immediate and completely undoable.
The Drum Takes the Switch With It
MV's housing is built around that drum. Replacing one removes the other, and with it the starter and the engine stop switch that a road-registered motorcycle is required to have and an insurer will ask about.
Where It Ends Up on the Bar
Inboard of the grip, on its own clamp, rotated to wherever the thumb rests when the wrist is relaxed rather than wherever the throttle assembly happened to finish. Riders who have done the conversion tend to mention the extra space around the grip first.
Milled to Fit a Crowded Area
Between the bar end, the lever perch and the master cylinder clamp there is very little free tube on a Brutale. A compact block cut from billet occupies less of it than any improvised bracket, which is half the reason for a purpose-made part.
Sealed Beyond Automotive Grade
The switch elements are military-specification units. A naked bike offers its controls nothing at all in the way of shelter, and the seals inside this housing are doing the entire job that a fairing would otherwise share.
Nothing Reaches the Loom
The unit arrives with MV's connector already fitted. No wire is cut, no splice is made and no fault appears on the dash, which means the motorcycle can be sold on with the standard parts refitted and no evidence of the conversion.
Titanium
One anodised finish, converted into the metal rather than laid over it. On a Brutale's cockpit it identifies the component as machined without adding a colour to a motorcycle that generally has enough of them already.
