The centre tail piece is the spine of the rear end, running between the seat and the tail light and tying the two flanks together. On the 2023 S1000RR it is what you look along when the motorcycle is in front of you in a pit lane, and it is the panel that makes the tail read as one shape rather than three.

Two Edges That Have to Be Right
This panel meets an adjacent piece along its whole length on both sides, which makes it the most demanding fit in the tail. A shell that is a millimetre wide shows as a taper in the gap, and a taper in a gap is visible from further away than any surface defect.
Offer it up against the original before fitting and compare the two along their edges rather than across their faces. That is where the difference between a good moulding and an adequate one lives.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW S1000RR, model years 2023 to 2026, on the original tail fixings. It does not fit the 2019-2022 machines, whose tail section is shaped differently.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Tail sections often carry lighting and plate mountings, so check what is attached to the original before removing it and confirm the position for your registration.
Match the Flanks
There is no independent finish decision here. This panel is bordered on both sides by the tail flanks, and it either matches them or announces itself. Order together where possible.
Where the flanks are still standard paintwork, matt is the least conspicuous carbon to sit against a painted panel, because both are non-reflective. Gloss twill against paint reads as two different materials, which is fine if that is the intention and jarring if it is not.
