DescriptionThe whole story▼
In many households, winter is when the motorcycle moves to the back of the garage. The car has to fit, the bicycles need a place, and the CB1000R ends up in a corner, pushed and turned a little further each time someone needs the space. Honda's four-cylinder naked bike, with an engine rooted in its sports bikes, is a sizeable machine, and one shunted around on a cold concrete floor by someone who rarely handles motorcycles is easily tipped over. For the CB1000R of 2008 to 2015, with and without ABS, Accossato lists the AGS08, a silver clutch lever of the original type.

Construction and Material Quality
There is not much that Accossato publishes about the AGS08, and it fits into two sentences. The lever is an original-type spare, designed to give good value for money, and according to the company it is manufactured in a way that makes it more resistant after damage or collisions. In practice that means a clutch lever in the form of the one Honda fitted, which leaves the cockpit of the CB1000R looking as it did before. It is silver, as Accossato lists it for this bike. Material and dimensions are not stated.
Squeezed Into the Winter Garage
Planning winter storage properly saves more than a lever. Before the CB1000R goes into its corner, clean it, fill the tank, connect the battery to a charger if you can, and decide exactly where it will stand, ideally somewhere nobody has to move it until spring. A paddock stand holds it more securely than the side stand, and the handlebar can be turned so that the levers are not in the way of anyone squeezing past. Tell the rest of the household that the bike is not to be moved, or at least show them how to hold it: both hands on the handlebar, a finger on the front brake, the bike close to the hip. If it has to be shifted, do it yourself. A bike that falls in a garage lands on a hard floor, often against a wall or a tool chest, and the clutch lever and the mirror are among the first casualties. When spring comes, check both levers before the first ride, clean and grease the pivots, and replace any lever that has been bent.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives the AGS08 for the CB1000R from 2008 to 2015, listing both the standard model and the ABS version from 2009, and names no other replacement clutch lever for this bike. We also list the AGS08 for the CB1100 and the VFR1200F. If you would rather fit a tuning part, Accossato's CNC levers for the CB1000R are EDF033 for the brake and ESH033 for the clutch. Please compare our photo with your own lever before ordering.
Road Approval
No ABE or test mark exists for the AGS08 in our documents. It is listed for racing and competition use.
