Euro 4 Made It Better
The capacity went from 821 to 937 cc because of emissions rules and the engine gained torque without losing anything. It is not how regulation usually works.
An Engine Shared Widely
Ducati went on to put this motor in the Multistrada 950, the SuperSport and the Monster 937. It is the most quietly useful thing the company has built in twenty years.
Either Master Cylinder
The universal slots cover the original clamp and the radial units. It removes the question rather than answering it with two part numbers.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium, each converted into the top layer of the metal. A kerb dulls the surface rather than lifting a coating that then keeps peeling.
Worked Constantly
A supermoto's right hand never rests. The mode controls and the throttle on this side see more operations in a season than most superbikes manage in five.
Sealed Elements
Enclosed within the body rather than behind a clipped lid. On a bike washed as often as this one, the lid is the weak point rather than the switch.
Three Model Years
Ducati built the 939 briefly before the 950 arrived. It is the least discussed Hypermotard and, by a good many owner accounts, the best balanced of the three.
Nothing Spliced
The loom ends in Ducati's own plug. Two fasteners, one connector, and no adapter in the box because none is needed.
Brembo M4.32
Monobloc calipers on a motorcycle weighing 181 kilograms wet. The braking capacity is considerably more than the chassis can use, which on a supermoto is exactly the right way round and is one of several places where Ducati specified above the class.
