DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES KIT04 takes the whole secondary air system off the Panigale 1199 R in one order, which matters because both parts sit behind the same tank and the same airbox.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale 1199 R (2012–2017)
- Both halves of the secondary air deletion
- Solenoid eliminator and cylinder head cover
- One part number, one fitting session
- No drilling and no splicing
- Every standard part refits afterwards
Built in Small Numbers
The R was produced in the quantities the rules required, which keeps used values firm and makes good examples genuinely hard to find.
One Evening, Not Two
The tank comes off once. Anybody who fits only the electrical half and orders the mechanical one later pays for that access twice over.
A Repair as Much as a Deletion
On a machine past its first decade the reed housing has limited life left, so the aluminium half removes a job that was already coming.
Where the Money Goes
Two machined and potted components rather than a bolt and a resistor. The price reflects the work in them rather than the function.
Two Failures, One Cause
The solenoid ages electrically and the reeds age thermally, both driven by the same heat cycles. Owners generally discover both at once.
Why Not Just Unplug It
The controller notices immediately and stores a fault, which then sits on the panel masking anything else that might appear later.
Why Owners Reach for the Kit
Usually a dashboard warning on a cold morning, occasionally soot in the airbox, and on older machines simply the knowledge that the reeds are past their working life. All three arrive at the same solution.
What the Evening Actually Looks Like
Seat, side panels, tank, airbox, then two components that take about twenty minutes between them, then reassembly. The parts are the short part of the job and the bodywork is the long part, which is the single most useful thing to know before starting.
What to Have Ready
A torque wrench that reads accurately at low settings, a spare O-ring, a handful of cable ties and somewhere clean to put a fuel tank. That list is short because the job is short; the reason it matters is that stopping halfway through to find any of them means the tank sits on a bench overnight.
