DescriptionThe whole story▼
A hexagonal muffler under the seat. Honda routes the 2024 CBR600RR's exhaust up into the tail rather than out to the side, and Akrapovic shaped the silencer to that space — six flat faces where a round can would have wasted the corners.
Key Features
- Hexagonal muffler positioned under the seat, sandblasted finish
- Muffler, link pipe and headers all in high-grade titanium
- Carbon fibre muffler bracket
- Different titanium alloys in each section, chosen for temperature threshold
- Developed by the Akrapovic racing department
- Solely for race-prepared motorcycles
- No road approval of any kind
Race-Prepared Only
Akrapovic states the system is designed to be used solely in combination with race-prepared CBR600RR machines. That is a narrower condition than "track use" — it assumes a bike already modified for competition rather than a standard motorcycle taken to a trackday.
If your CBR600RR is standard, this system will fit but it is not the article Akrapovic built it to be. Ask us before ordering and we will talk through what else exists.
Alloys Chosen by Temperature
Akrapovic specifies different titanium alloys in each section, selected for their temperature thresholds. The headers run hottest and need an alloy that keeps its strength there; the muffler sleeve runs cooler and can use a lighter grade.
That is the same principle as varying wall thickness on the motocross systems, applied to the metallurgy instead of the geometry.
Why Under the Seat
An under-seat exhaust puts the mass high and central rather than out at the side. It is harder to package and harder to keep cool, and it concentrates weight where a supersport machine can carry it without hurting how quickly it changes direction.
Honda made that choice for the 2024 bike, and the exhaust had to follow.
Sandblasted, Not Polished
Akrapovic finishes the muffler with a sandblasted surface rather than a bright one. Matt titanium shows heat colours less obviously and does not reflect at a photographer or a marshal — on a race bike that is the practical choice.
A Carbon Bracket
The muffler bracket is carbon fibre rather than steel or aluminium. Under the seat of a supersport machine, weight sits high and the bracket is one of the few places left to remove any.
The 600 Class in 2026
Honda brought the CBR600RR back for 2024 after eight years away, and it returned as a machine aimed squarely at racing rather than at road sales. That is why the exhaust Akrapovic builds for it is a competition part with no road version alongside it.
Fitment and Compatibility
S-H6E1-WT covers the Honda CBR600RR from 2024 through 2026. The 2004 to 2018 machine takes S-H6EFT9T-WT, which is a different system entirely.
Road Approval
None. Competition use only.
