Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.

Why the Original

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 01499-04. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Pins and dowels locate parts to each other; without them the assembly is merely clamped, not positioned.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01499-04

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01499-04_eed88ba8-bd29-4a3c-a79c-13576decfcdf.png?v=1788873834
