K-Tech's closed cartridge philosophy is rooted in decades of supplying front-running teams in British Superbike, World Superbike and the Isle of Man TT. The DDS cartridge architecture was developed specifically to overcome the limitations of open-cartridge systems — namely oil aeration and inconsistent damping force under repeated high-speed compression cycles. The 20 mm piston bore maintains a high, stable oil-flow rate throughout the full 125 mm stroke, while the sealed cartridge body protects the damping circuit from air ingress regardless of fork angle or g-load. Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is designed exclusively for the Ducati Panigale 1199 S and 1199 R, model years 2012 to 2017. It is not compatible with the standard (non-S, non-R) 1199 variant. Installation by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre is strongly recommended to ensure correct setup and to preserve the performance characteristics of the system.
