DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES KIT17 deletes the Trident 660's whole secondary air arrangement, connector and cylinder head cover together.
Key Features
- Triumph Trident 660 (2021–2025)
- Both halves of the secondary air deletion
- Solenoid eliminator and cylinder head cover
- One part number, one fitting session
- No drilling and no splicing
- Every standard part refits afterwards
Bought as a First Big Bike
A great many Tridents go to riders leaving a 125 behind, and Triumph's dealer network has benefited from every one of them.
An Honest Roadster
No fairing, no pretence and nothing that needs learning. It is a category the market had rather forgotten and the Trident reminded everybody why it mattered.
Nothing Drilled or Spliced
Triumph's own connector and fastener positions throughout the whole job, with the original torque figures.
Two Hours With Ordinary Tools
No special fitting, no diagnostic connection and no adaptation run. The longest part of the job is getting the tank out of the way.
Documented
A note in the service book stops the next person diagnosing an emissions fault that the motorcycle can no longer produce.
Why Both Halves Belong Together
The electrical side stops the dashboard complaining and the mechanical side actually closes the path. Doing one leaves either a warning light or an open port with a perishable reed still in it, and neither is a finished job.
What Gets Written Down
A note in the service book saying what was removed and when. Whoever diagnoses the motorcycle in five years will otherwise assume the system is present and spend an hour proving otherwise.
Everything Refits
Housing, hose, clips and the original connector, with nothing consumed and no new seals needed. That property is what makes this a modification rather than a permanent alteration.
The Hose Comes Out
With both ends closed there is nothing for it to do, and removing it is what makes the top of the engine look finished.
Three Bikes From One Engine
The Trident's 660 triple now powers the Tiger Sport 660 and the Daytona 660 as well, which has turned it into one of Triumph's most important platforms. Parts developed for one of them frequently benefit all three.
