DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 030 lets the 300 SR's evaporative emissions canister come off without leaving a warning on the dashboard.
Key Features

- Removes the EVAP charcoal canister
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
- No cutting and no splicing
- Suppresses the resulting dashboard fault code
- Fully reversible to standard
What the Canister Is For
A charcoal cartridge that catches fuel vapour rising out of the tank and feeds it back into the intake instead of into the air. It works and it takes up space.
Why It Comes Off
Weight, clutter and a set of hoses that snake around the frame collecting dirt. On a small motorcycle the canister and its plumbing are disproportionately bulky.
A Question of Registration
The EVAP system is part of type approval. Removing it is a modification for closed circuits, and anyone riding on public roads should leave it in place.
No Warning Light
The eliminator maintains the circuit the ECU is watching. The dash behaves as though nothing changed, which is the difference between a tidy job and a strip of tape.
Twenty-Nine Horsepower
From 292 cc, in bodywork drawn to look like something considerably faster. The 300 SR is honest about what it is once it moves and it is well put together.
A Single Year of Fitment
Only 2024. CFMOTO moves its model range along quickly and the plumbing changes with it, so the registration document is the reliable guide.
Nothing Is Cut
The original connector is used throughout. Putting the canister back for an inspection is a twenty-minute job rather than a wiring exercise.
Hoses and Caps
Removing the canister leaves open lines that need blanking properly. The electrical side is solved here; the plumbing side deserves the same care.
A First Real Motorcycle
The 300 SR is bought by riders coming off a 125, and it usually gets ridden in every kind of weather because it is the only bike in the garage. Anything fitted to it needs to survive that.
