DescriptionThe whole story▼
Anyone who races a 125 two-stroke gets to know the top end well. Pistons and rings in a small, hard-revving engine wear quickly, and a Husqvarna TC 125 that is ridden seriously gets a fresh top end at regular intervals, usually on a weekday evening in the garage with the radio on. While the cylinder is off and the bike is on the stand anyway, it is the ideal time to look at everything else. Accossato lists enlarged footpegs in Ergal for the TC 125 of 2014 and 2015, in six colours.
Key Features
- Enlarged footpegs for the Husqvarna TC 125, model years 2014 and 2015
- Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
- A broader standing platform for a light two-stroke
- For motocross, enduro and off-road riding
- Orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium
- Two pegs, left and right
- The TC 125 from 2016 has other Accossato sets
- No ABE on file; for motocross and competition
Construction and Material Quality
The company behind these pegs was founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, near Turin, and its description of the part is brief: enlarged footpegs made of Ergal for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The enlarged size gives the boot more to stand on than a smaller peg, and that is the only claim the maker makes. For the TC 125 of 2014 and 2015 the pegs come in six colours, orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium, as a left and right pair.
While the Cylinder Is Off
A top-end rebuild on a 125 is a manageable job for a careful home mechanic with the right tools and the manual. The cylinder comes off, the old piston and rings come out, the parts are measured and cleaned, and the new ones go in with fresh gaskets. Many riders use the occasion for a wider check of the TC 125, since hours on the track leave their mark everywhere: wheel bearings, chain and sprockets, brake pads, cables and the linkage all get a look.
The footpegs are part of that inspection. Remove them, clean the pivots and mounting points, and check the pins and springs; if the originals are in good condition, they can be used again. Pegs that are bent, worn smooth or damaged after a crash are worth replacing at this point. A little grease on the pivot and a quick test that each peg folds up and returns cleanly finish the job. On the first ride after the rebuild, check the gear lever and brake pedal against your boots and look the bike over once more at the end of the day.
Fitment and Compatibility
The FR795 is the first of three Accossato footpeg sets for the TC 125 and belongs to model years 2014 and 2015. For the bikes of 2016 to 2022 Accossato lists the FR798, and for 2023 to 2026 the FR809. Confirm your model year, compare the photos and colours and ask us about anything that does not seem to fit. We also list the identical FR795 for the TC 250, the TE 125 and the KTM 125 EXC.
Road Approval
We have no approval documents, ABE or otherwise, for these pegs; they are intended for competition use.
