DescriptionThe whole story▼

A V100 Mandello on a race track is still unusual, but its modern chassis and engine make it an interesting base for twin-cylinder series and dedicated track bikes. For that purpose Accossato lists front pad AGPA177 in the EV2 racing compound, a mixture developed for the heat and pressure of competition. The catalogue gives it for the V100 1042 Mandello from 2022 to 2023.

Key Features

  • EV2 racing front pads for the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello
  • V100 1042 Mandello, 2022 to 2023
  • Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound
  • Made for hard, repeated stops at race pace
  • Suits qualifying and race sessions
  • Two pads in each box
  • Competition only; no German ABE

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato ranks EV2 among its top racing compounds. It is built for the moment when a heavy sport tourer turned race bike arrives at a hairpin at full speed and the rider needs the same lever pressure to stop it at the same point every lap. That kind of consistency at high temperatures is what the mixture is designed for. Accossato adds that its pads wear slowly, limit heat and resist fade.

Twin-Cylinder Grids

Twin-cylinder racing classes welcome bikes like the Mandello. A race weekend is hard on the brakes: free practice, qualifying and races with little time between them. Check pad thickness at each return to the paddock, look for glazing and keep the fluid fresh. Bed new pads in during an out lap.

For the road, Sintered (ST) and EV1 are the appropriate choices on this plate, while ZXC is the ceramic alternative for racing. Keep a logbook through the season: which session, which pads, how many laps and how the lever felt at the end. Over a few weekends it shows when the Mandello's front pads are due, long before they start to feel tired at the end of a race.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA177 in EV2 is listed by Accossato for the V100 1042 Mandello from 2022 to 2023. The Mandello has two front calipers, so plan on two boxes for the front. At the rear, Accossato offers AGPA29 for the same years. If you have changed the calipers during a race conversion, check that the pad outline still matches before ordering.

Road Approval

No German ABE or approval document is available to us for this pad, so it is sold strictly for competition.

Scope of Delivery
