A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Original Öhlins Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. This is an original Öhlins part, not an aftermarket equivalent — the tolerances are the ones the unit was assembled to. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 04731-04. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04731-04

Category: Outer Tubes

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04731-04_2e069d4f-7e27-4d5c-a5cd-ce52cd16eb27.png?v=1788872841
