DescriptionThe whole story▼
The rear section of Spark's racing collector, on its own. When a Super Duke goes down or meets a kerb, this is usually the piece that pays for it — and replacing it costs a fraction of the collector it belongs to.
Key Features
- Rear pipe spare part for the KTM 1290 and 1390 Super Duke R, 2020 to 2026.
- For Spark's racing collectors GKT8502 and GKT8503.
- Around a sixth of the price of a complete collector.
- Restores a damaged system without replacing the whole front end.
- Titanium, matching the collector it belongs to.
- Not a standalone exhaust component.
Why This Section and Not Another
Spark's Super Duke collector is a multi-piece assembly, and the sections are not equally exposed. The front pipes are tucked in behind the front wheel and under the engine, protected by the frame; the rear pipe runs out towards the silencer mounting, low and clear of everything that would shield it.
That is why this is the number Spark keeps as a spare and the others are not. It is the part that gets bent, scraped or split, and having it separately available is what keeps a fifteen-hundred-euro collector from being written off by a parking-lot fall.
Which Collector You Have
The pipe fits both of Spark's racing collectors for this bike: GKT8502, the version with the valve simulator included, and GKT8503, the version without it. The difference between those two is electrical rather than mechanical, so the rear section is common to both.
If you are unsure which one is on the motorcycle, look for the simulator on the end of the exhaust valve wiring — GKT8502 supplies one, GKT8503 does not.
While the System Is Apart
Replacing this section means opening the collector, which is a sensible moment to do the maintenance Spark asks for. The silencing box in the collector holds sound-absorbing packing, and Spark recommends checking it every 15,000 to 20,000 kilometres or whenever the box changes colour.
Reassemble with the original graphite gaskets, as Spark specifies for this collector. And if the catalytic converter delete was recent, confirm the remap is in place — Spark states a lean-running engine is what an unmapped installation produces.
Fitment & Compatibility
KTM 1290 Super Duke R, 1290 Super Duke R EVO, 1390 Super Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R EVO, 2020 through 2026, as a spare part for the Spark collectors GKT8502 and GKT8503. It is not an exhaust component in its own right.
Road Approval
None. The collector it belongs to removes the catalytic converter and carries no EC certificate.
