The short case, on the Euro5+ Trident. Spark's Moto GP silencer sits at the opposite end of the range from the 60's — same collector, same catalyst, same certificate, and a completely different motorcycle from behind.
Key Features
- Euro5+ homologated full system for the Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, 2025 to 2026.
- Moto GP silencer: round, very short, large outlet diameter.
- AISI 304 stainless collector with pre-silencer box, Scotch-Brite finish.
- Racing catalytic converter with high noble-metal loading.
- Header length and diameter reworked for the Euro5+ engine.
- No mapping or ECU modification required.
Two Silencers, One System
Spark builds exactly two homologated systems for the 2025 Trident and they share everything except the case at the end. The 60's is a period silhouette from the modern-classic range; this one is the shortest silencer in Spark's catalogue.
The price is identical. So the decision is not about specification at all — it is about whether you want the exhaust to look like it belongs on the motorcycle Triumph designed, or like it belongs on something faster.
What a Very Short Case Does
Spark describes the Moto GP as round, very short, with a large outlet diameter chosen to emphasise the engine note. On a three-cylinder that combination is particularly effective — the firing order produces a sound with a lot of character and not much bulk, and a short case with a wide exit passes more of it through.
Absorption is a function of the distance gas travels through packing, so a case this compact could not carry an approval on its own. What makes the system legal is everything ahead of it.
Where the Approval Sits
Two components do the regulatory work. The racing catalytic converter is heavily impregnated with noble metals, which lets it convert efficiently across an open cell structure rather than by restricting flow. The pre-silencer box takes the sharpness out of the pressure pulse before it reaches the silencer.
Spark reworked both the header dimensions and the converter for Euro5+. That is why the 2025 machines have their own part numbers rather than inheriting the earlier system's.
Ready as Delivered
Spark states that its R&D team defined the optimal configuration for this engine while maximising power and delivery without requiring any modification to the mapping or the ECU.
No dyno time, no flashed map, no error codes, no conversation at the next service. On a motorcycle still under warranty that is the practical difference between a homologated system and a racing one.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660, 2025 through 2026. The black ceramic version is GTR8831DOM. With the 60's silencer the system is GTR8830IOM, or GTR8830BOM in black ceramic. The racing titanium alternative is GTR8832T. For the Daytona 660 of the same years the equivalent is GTR8829TOM.
Road Approval
Euro5+ homologated. Legal for road use as supplied.
