The JP ES 011 is the passive answer to the Panigale 1199 S's side stand circuit: nothing powered, nothing configured and nothing that can behave differently in the wet.

A Hundred and Ninety-Five Horsepower
Unchanged from the standard 1199. Ducati put the S premium entirely into the chassis, which is the correct place for it.
Removed for a Circuit
Weight, ground clearance and an organiser who would rather not see one. The stand is among the first components off any bike being prepared.
Refit Before Selling
A buyer expects the safety systems to work as described, and putting the standard switch back is a five-minute job that avoids the conversation.
Record the Change
Anybody working on the motorcycle later will assume the interlock behaves as Ducati built it. A line in the book prevents a wasted afternoon.
Cheap Insurance
The part costs less than a replacement switch and solves the problem permanently rather than once. That arithmetic persuades most owners on the second failure.
A Bike That Lives Outside
Everything low and left corrodes first, and the sidestand switch is closer to the road surface than any other electrical component.
Where It Lives
Low on the left of the engine, in the path of everything the front wheel throws up. The body is potted for that reason, and it should be tied off so it cannot hang into the chain run or against the exhaust.
Clearing an Old Fault
Where the switch failed before it was removed, the controller may already have logged something. The eliminator prevents new entries but does not erase old ones, so a few seconds with a diagnostic tool is worth spending to leave the record honest.
The First Panigale
Ducati abandoned the trellis frame here and hung the engine off the airbox, which changed where everything on the motorcycle lives. The side stand and its switch stayed conventional, and on a machine this focused they are among the first parts removed for track use.
