DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP KS MV002 is a machined, sealed replacement for the F3 675's ignition block, aimed at owners who trailer the bike rather than park it.
Key Features
- MV Agusta F3 675 (2012–2020)
- Replaces the original ignition block, key and lock
- Around 350 g off the top yoke
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal
- IP69K sealed push button
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
A Counter-Rotating Crank
MV put a reverse-spinning crankshaft in a middleweight and gave it a turning behaviour riders notice within a corner. The 675 raced in Supersport for years.
Cut From Solid
Ergal machined rather than moulded, which is why the body survives the knocks a top yoke collects over a season of being wheeled about.
Why Racing Machines Lose It
A bike that lives in a van and a garage has nothing to be stolen from and nobody waiting to turn a key. The lock is mass and complication.
Why IP69K Matters Here
The unit sits in the open above the front wheel, taking everything the tyre throws up and everything a pressure washer delivers afterwards.
One Function
Arm the ignition, kill the ignition. There is no second mode, no memory and nothing to configure.
Access
Reaching the connector generally means lifting the tank or a cover. On some models it is visible as soon as the block is unbolted.
A Small Part, Fully Made
Machined body, sealed switch, model-specific plate and the correct connector. The price reflects four decisions rather than one.
Cleaning
Anodising tolerates the chemicals a motorcycle meets. What it does not tolerate is abrasive, which is true of every finished part on the machine.
Anodised Through
The colour is grown into the surface rather than sprayed onto it, which is why an edge that gets knocked does not show a bright line.
The Fitting, Start to Finish
Tank or cover off to reach the loom, the ignition connector unplugged, two fasteners out of the top yoke, the block lifted away and the new body bolted into the same holes. Twenty minutes on most machines and no part of it needs the front end disturbed.
