DescriptionThe whole story▼

The JP ACCGP DU020 brings the GP Series throttle to the Hypermotard 950 RVE: the same reduced 60-degree rotation as the standard kit, now paired with a progressive return spring and preload adjustable in three stages, so a bike built for standing and pivoting gets a throttle that matches its character.

Key Features

  • Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE (2019–2025)
  • GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
  • Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
  • CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
  • Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
  • Standard throttle assembly refits at any time

Standing Room

Riders tip the RVE into a corner standing on the pegs more often than most road bikes ever ask for, using the bars and a flick of the wrist to set the line before sitting back down. A throttle that needs less rotation to reach full opening keeps that movement short, so the hand stays settled through the transition instead of chasing a long twist mid-manoeuvre.

Testastretta Delivery

The L-twin under the RVE's bodywork sends its torque in a broad, usable spread rather than a single peak, which is part of why the model works as well in town as it does on a mountain road. A throttle with a shorter stroke makes it easier to meter that spread precisely, particularly in the lower half of the travel.

Three Defined Clicks

The GP Series spring's preload is set from outside the housing, in three defined stages, without opening the throttle body to get at it. On a bike that gets ridden both to work and up a pass road at the weekend, that means the initial resistance can be matched to the kind of riding planned for that outing, rather than fixed to one compromise.

Milled From One Block

The lever itself is machined from a single billet of 7075 aluminium rather than cast or stamped, which is standard practice across the GP Series. On the RVE, where the throttle sits exposed to grit and spray on unpaved detours as much as to clean tarmac, that solid construction keeps the mechanism running true long after a cast part might start to flex.

Weekend-and-Commute Duty

The RVE is as likely to be the bike used for a short commute as the one loaded onto a trailer for a weekend of gravel-adjacent roads, and its ergonomics are built around that split. A throttle that behaves predictably whether rolled on gently in traffic or opened hard out of a hairpin suits a bike asked to do both in the same week.

Wrist Position Over Distance

Standing on the pegs for any length of time changes how the wrist sits on the grip, usually with less support from the seat and more weight carried through the hand. Reducing how far the throttle has to turn to reach full opening reduces how much that wrist has to rotate to get there, which matters most exactly when the rider is already working to stay balanced.
