Where the Original Block Went
The quick-action assembly takes its mounting. This unit provides a new one and arranges the controls for a rider using them repeatedly rather than at junctions.
An Additional Component
It supplements rather than replaces. Stating that plainly avoids the single most common misunderstanding attached to the part number.
Rotation Cut by a Third
On a light motorcycle with a responsive engine, shortening the throttle action changes the character noticeably rather than marginally. It is not a subtle modification.
One Finish
Titanium anodised, converted into the aluminium. It matches the quick-action hardware and does not mark the way a coated component would.
Beyond Road Requirement
Military-specification elements inside the machined body. On a naked bike there is nothing above the bar and the housing is the entire defence.
Nothing Cut
Pre-wired to Ducati's connector, so the conversion reverses completely. That is worth having on a model people modify heavily and then sell on.
Eighteen Kilograms
That came off when the trellis went and an aluminium front frame from the Panigale V4 replaced it. Nothing else Ducati has done to this model compares.
A Frame Borrowed Upward
Ducati took the Panigale V4's front-frame architecture and applied it to a naked middleweight, bolting a compact aluminium structure to an engine that carries the load. It is a considerably more sophisticated arrangement than the steel trellis it replaced, and the objection to it was almost entirely about appearance.
Quicker on Less
A hundred and eleven horsepower against the outgoing 1200's hundred and forty-seven, and the current bike is faster in every measurable respect. Weight decides how a motorcycle behaves far more than output does, and the Monster is the clearest demonstration of that in Ducati's range.
A Waist Narrow Enough
Ducati reshaped the tank so a shorter rider can get both feet down at a junction. It sounds like a footnote and it is the reason a great many people bought this Monster instead of looking at something else entirely.
