The Tuono 660 shares the RS 660's twin and chassis but adds a higher bar and a small fairing, and many owners take it to track days as a light, forgiving naked. For the Aprilia Tuono 660 from 2021 on, the FXR rearset gives it the controls of a racing bike, with rigid pegs and levers on double ball bearings.

A naked bike with a race position
On a track day, the Tuono's upright bar and the higher, more rearward pegs of the FXR combine well: the rider sits over the front with plenty of clearance, while the bar still gives leverage. Up to 30 mm of height and 25 mm of rearward movement are available.
No reprogramming needed
Standard and reversed shifting are both possible, and switching does not require the quickshifter to be reprogrammed. The system weighs 728 g on the left and 654 g on the right, and every part can be ordered as a spare.
Road Approval
This system is covered on the Aprilia TUONO 660 by parts certificate No. 144XT0020 from TÜV Rheinland. That means an acceptance inspection without delay after installation; until the papers are corrected, the confirmation travels with the bike. The certificate permits only folding footpegs on bikes approved under (EU) 168/2013 with folding pegs as standard, so plan the folding peg kit (sold separately) for road use.
Scope of Delivery
Both sides of the rider rearset come ready to fit: adapter plates, peg carriers with footpegs, brake pedal, shift lever with linkage and aluminium heel protection. The fitting instructions and the TÜV parts certificate are included. Folding footpegs, required for road use, are not included and are available separately.
