DescriptionThe whole story

2.4 PS and 1.4 Nm, both at exactly 6,000 rpm. On a 645 cc V-twin that makes around 76 PS, a gain of over three per cent from a slip-on is unusually good — and it lands in the middle of the rev range where Suzuki's twin has always done its best work.

Key Features

  • 2.87 kg against the standard 4.39 kg: 1.5 kg and 34.6 per cent less
  • 2.4 PS (1.8 kW) and 1.4 Nm, both measured at 6,000 rpm
  • Newly designed double-flow muffler with twin outlets in the end cap for optimised flow
  • Coated titanium outer sleeve and end cap — the coating is for durability, resilience and easier cleaning, not only appearance
  • Handmade carbon fibre heat shield and a monochrome sticker
  • Imprints on both muffler and end cap
  • EC and ECE type approved

Two Very Different Motorcycles

The SV650X is the café-racer version of Suzuki's long-running V-twin: clip-on bars, a bikini fairing, a tuck-and-roll seat. The SV-7GX is new for 2026 and takes the same engine in the opposite direction — an upright adventure-styled machine with a tall screen and a wide bar.

They share the 645 cc engine, the frame and the exhaust mounting, which is why one silencer serves both. If you are looking at an SV-7GX, this is one of the first Akrapovic parts available for it.

Why the Sleeve Is Coated

Bare titanium discolours with heat and shows every mark. Akrapovic coats the sleeve and end cap on this system, and states the reason plainly: durability, resilience and easier cleaning. On a bike that gets ridden year-round — which both of these are — that matters more than a mirror finish would.

Twin Outlets

The double-flow design splits the gas path into two outlets in the end cap. It keeps flow velocity up across a wider range than a single large opening, which is part of why the gain sits at 6,000 rpm rather than at the top, and it gives the tail of a small V-twin a presence it does not have as standard.

Titanium or Carbon — the Two Versions

Akrapovic builds this silencer in two materials for the same motorcycles, and the difference is larger than the finish. This titanium version weighs 2.87 kg, a saving of 34.6 per cent, and gains 2.4 PS. The carbon version, S-S6SO10-HRC, weighs 1.99 kg — a 53.5 per cent saving — but gains 1.1 PS.

So the choice is real rather than cosmetic: titanium for the larger power gain and the tougher surface, carbon for close to a kilogram less weight. On a 645 cc twin used on the road, most riders are better served by the titanium; on a bike ridden at track days, the carbon's extra kilogram matters more.

Fitment and Compatibility

S-S7SO3-HRT covers the Suzuki SV650X from model year 2018 through 2026 and the SV-7GX from 2026. A carbon fibre version of this silencer, S-S6SO10-HRC, is also available.

Road Approval

EC type approval and ECE type approval, with the certificates supplied and downloadable here. The silencer is a legal replacement part for road use in the European Union.
