DescriptionThe whole story

The Ninja 250 is often the first bike its owner takes on track. The N011 is ZCOO's shape for the Nissin caliper of the Kawasaki Ninja 250, 96.7 mm long and 7.5 mm thick. What the N011 carries is EX Race: a ceramic sinter tuned for proportionality over attack.

Key Features

  • A pad geometry drawn for this caliper family rather than shared across three of them, which is why the N011 fills its window
  • Sized for the braking energy a 249 cc machine generates, not scaled down from a larger reference
  • Lever feel on the Ninja 250 stays linear from the first millimetre of travel to full pressure
  • Ceramic sintering keeps the coefficient of friction stable across the temperature swing a Ninja 250 sees in a single descent
  • Rotor-friendly by formulation: the Ninja 250 discs see a ceramic film rather than an abrasive
  • One pack holds the two pads for a single caliper - a Ninja 250 with twin front discs therefore needs two packs

Construction and Material Quality

The construction of the N011 is where ZCOO's endurance experience actually shows. Sintering fuses the ceramic to the plate, which is what lets the N011 hold together where an organic pad has begun to break down. Together they remove the two things that normally end a sintered pad, and the N011 is built against both: fade at the top of the range, and the friction layer lifting away.

Performance and Feel

The useful measure of a Ninja 250 pad is not one hard stop but a hundred ordinary ones. In exchange for a modest first bite the N011 gives the same bite on the tenth stop as on the first. For a rider working on braking technique on a Ninja 250, that is exactly what an upgrade should buy.

Fitment and Compatibility

The 2026 listing puts the N011 on the Kawasaki Ninja 250 for the 2008 to 2022 model years. The same N011 shape covers 13 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Front axle only. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 96.7 mm length and 42.0 mm height.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
