Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. The outer tube holds the bushings and the seal head, so its bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Inner tubes are coated because they run in bushings and seals for their whole life.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Getting the Number Right

21936-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 48 mm, dimension b 57 mm, dimension c 60.5 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Top caps carry the adjusters and the preload mechanism.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21936-01

Category: Outer Tubes

Dimension A: 48 mm

Dimension B: 57 mm

Dimension C: 60.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21936-01_4f964162-ab3b-4b7c-9347-3500d07312d4.png?v=1788880552
