DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 S 890, Öhlins supplies part number FKR 234. Nothing visible changes on the bike, and everything about how the fork works does.
Key Features
- Supplied with Öhlins spring See notes
- 120 mm working stroke
- Bolts to the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890 (2025) using the standard mounting points
What Changes Inside the Fork
The recommended oil is 01309; using something else changes the damping the shim stack was set for. Öhlins quotes 120 mm of damper stroke for this fitment. Öhlins identifies the spring as See notes. Length is 760.5 mm and is not adjustable on this number. Adjusters are at the fork tops and marked in clicks from fully closed. Setting front-end support under braking no longer means also changing how quickly the fork returns.
Where This Sits in the Öhlins Line-up
The FKR 200 series is the later generation of Öhlins' TTX 25 cartridge kit, built for forks that the FKR 100 series does not cover. Same principle — twin-tube cartridges into standard legs — with mounting and lengths specified for the newer chassis. The FKR 200 series covers forks that the earlier FKR 100 numbers do not fit.
How Öhlins Builds It
Springs come with the kit and are catalogue items in their own right if a different rate is needed. Machining, anodising, assembly and testing all happen in the same building rather than across a supply chain. Materials read unremarkably on paper — aluminium, steel, nitrogen — and the difference lies in how precisely they are made.
Fitted to the Panigale V2 S 890
A 890 cc machine of this type sits in a specific weight band, and Öhlins picks the spring rate for that band rather than for the platform. On a supersport machine, front-end feel under braking is what the rider trusts, and damping is what provides it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Öhlins releases FKR 234 against the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890 (2025). The number is shared with 2 sibling models that use the same mounting and settings, and this listing covers the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890. Öhlins notes for this application: Comes with 3 different spring rates: 9.5 ,10 & 10.5N/mm Fits base version with showa forks. *Replaces FKR 134*
Road Approval
Road approval: none for Germany. Öhlins supplies this part without a German type approval for the Ducati Panigale V2 S 890, which means it is not covered for use on public roads under StVZO. Track and closed-course use only.
Important Notes
- Fits models with the original Showa fork only.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins components deliver what they promise once they are fitted and set up properly. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do exactly that in house — installation, service and setup. Simply ask if you would like us to take care of it.
