Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold. Thread and length identify the adaptor; both are part of the installed length. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21650-01. Öhlins states dimension a 39.5 mm, dimension b 41.45 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins uses adaptors rather than making a separate body for every chassis. Adaptors let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21650-01

Category: Adaptors

Dimension A: 39.5 mm

Dimension B: 41.45 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21650-01_6c521469-8278-4244-918f-7ded1aed225f.png?v=1788879862
