DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Panigale 959 with a milled left-hand control set in three anodised finishes.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale 959 (2016–2019)
- Complete street control set on the left
- Black, red or titanium anodising
- CNC-machined from Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
Everything on the Left
Riding modes, traction levels, engine braking and the display. Ducati put the whole interface on this side of the bar, which is why its contacts age faster than anything else on the motorcycle.
Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five Cubic Centimetres
The middleweight Superquadro's final capacity, found by lengthening the stroke. Euro 4 forced the change and the engine emerged with noticeably more torque throughout.
Black, Red or Titanium
All three grown into the surface of the aluminium. A scuff dulls the metal rather than lifting a coating that then keeps peeling from the edge.
Sealed Elements
Enclosed within the body rather than tucked behind a clipped cover. Moulded switchgear fails because water reaches a terminal through a seam, not because anything wears out.
A Frameless Middleweight
The 959 kept the monocoque architecture, with the airbox carrying structural load. It remains an unusual thing to find at this price point and it is why the bike weighs what it does.
Machined Geometry
Edges a gloved thumb can locate and travel it can feel. It is the reason people replace switchgear that has not actually failed yet.
The Corse Version
Ducati offered a 959 Corse with Öhlins and a specific livery for very little extra. It is the one worth looking for and the premium second-hand is still modest.
Nothing to Configure
Pre-wired to Ducati's connector. The old block comes off, this one goes on, and the dashboard shows exactly what it showed before.
A Hundred and Fifty-Seven Horsepower
In a motorcycle that a competent rider can use most of on a real road. The 959 was never the fastest Panigale and it was very frequently the most enjoyable one.
