DescriptionThe whole story▼
Aprilia reworked the RSV4 for 2025, and with it the EVAP arrangement. The JP ES 051 is the canister delete for those bikes — a different part number from the 2021–2024 machines, and not interchangeable with them.
Key Features
- For the 2025–2026 Aprilia RSV4 and RSV4 Factory
- Removes canister, purge valve and vapour hoses completely
- Electronic purge valve eliminator prevents ECU faults
- Plug-and-play on the factory connector
- No remap and no diagnostic reset required
- Reversible — the standard system can go back on
Check the Model Year
This is the detail that catches people out. RSV4s from 2021 to 2024 take a different canister eliminator; the 2025-on bikes take this one. The motorcycles look closely related and the connectors are the difference, so the frame plate is the only reliable check — not the bodywork.
Why Delete It at All
The EVAP system does nothing for how the engine runs. It exists to trap fuel vapour for the emissions cycle, and on a machine that lives on circuits it is a filter, a solenoid and several metres of hose occupying the space under the tank where the wiring wants to be. Removing it is tidying rather than tuning.
Fitting It
Tank off, purge valve out, hoses and canister removed, eliminator plugged into the vacated connector, ports blanked. On a V4 the tank removal is the longest part of the job; the delete itself is quick.
Fitment and Compatibility
- Aprilia RSV4 (2025–2026)
- Aprilia RSV4 Factory (2025–2026)
Road Approval
None. Emissions equipment covered by type approval. Closed-circuit and competition use only.
What the Canister Was Doing
It absorbed fuel vapour from the tank and fed it back into the intake to be burned, which is why a bike with the system removed will smell of petrol in a closed garage more than it did. That is not a fault and it is not a leak; it is the vapour that used to be captured now venting as designed. Worth knowing before you go looking for a problem that is not there.
