DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 047 clears the Daytona 765 Moto 2's evaporative canister out and closes the circuit behind it.
Key Features
- Triumph Daytona 765 Moto 2 (2020)
- Removes the evaporative canister and its hoses
- Vents the tank through a proper fitting
- Closes the purge valve circuit
- Clears the space behind the engine
- Standard parts refit at any time
Brembo Stylema
The current generation road caliper, on a motorcycle weighing under two hundred kilograms. Nothing about the braking package was compromised.
An Arrow Silencer
Fitted as standard, which is unusual and tells you that Triumph knew exactly who would be buying the motorcycle and what they would do with it.
A Monitored Solenoid
The purge valve's circuit is checked electrically. Unplugging it alone writes a fault into memory, so the circuit is completed rather than abandoned.
Access to the Shock
On several Triumphs the canister sits directly in front of the rear preload adjuster, which turns a two-minute setting change into an awkward job with a short tool.
Invisible Until It Fails
Owners generally learn that their motorcycle has a canister at the moment it stops working, which is not the ideal introduction to a component.
Refit Before Selling
Handing over a motorcycle with the standard arrangement in place avoids a conversation the buyer did not expect and takes about as long as the original removal.
A Note in the Book
Whoever diagnoses this machine in five years will assume the system is present. Writing it down costs nothing and saves somebody a genuinely frustrating afternoon.
The Empty Bracket Question
Leaving the mount in place is untidy and pointless, and removing it makes the frame look finished. It also removes a place for road grime to collect, which matters on a bike ridden all year.
No Diagnostic Software Needed
Nothing here requires a dealer tool or manufacturer access. The circuit answer is passive and the mechanical work is a spanner job.
The Last Daytona
Triumph has not built a supersport since, and whatever eventually carries the name will not be this motorcycle. The market has priced that in and owners are entirely aware of what they are holding.
