DescriptionThe whole story▼

Two-up rides on a Yamaha XV950 Bolt, or a trip with leather saddlebags, shift weight towards the rear wheel and give the rear brake more to do. For the XV950 of 2014 to 2022, including the C-Spec and R-Spec versions, Accossato offers the rear pad AGPP121 in the Sintered compound, SKU AGPP121ST. It is aimed at riders who want a consistent pedal whatever the weather, from a damp spring morning to a warm summer evening, and whatever the bike is carrying.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) rear pad, SKU AGPP121ST
  • Yamaha XV950 (Bolt), 2014 to 2022
  • Bolt, C-Spec and R-Spec listed
  • Accossato: consistently high grip, whether cold or hot
  • Accossato: grips well on a wet disc
  • For a passenger and luggage
  • Front pad AGPA71 listed

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its Sintered compound keeps a high and stable grip level at both high and low temperatures and works well in wet conditions. On the rear of an XV950 carrying a passenger, that consistency helps the bike slow predictably. Accossato also refers to slow wear and reduced fade; we pass that on once and add no details about materials.

Two-Up on the Bolt

With a passenger aboard, the rear wheel of the XV950 carries noticeably more load, and a firm, predictable rear brake becomes more useful. In the rain, many riders apply the rear gently before the front to settle the bike. The Sintered pad helps by keeping the pedal feel the same when the disc is wet or cold. It is a sensible choice for owners who share their Bolt with a partner or ride through all seasons. For solo riders in dry town traffic, the OR pad is quieter.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the rear of the Yamaha XV950, Accossato lists AGPP121 from 2014 to 2022: XV 950 BOLT 2014 to 2018, BOLT C-SPEC 2015 to 2018 and BOLT R-SPEC 2014 to 2022 appear in its rear table. A single box covers the rear caliper. The XV950 uses AGPA71 at the front. Belt-drive bikes throw less lubricant at the rear disc than chain bikes, but road dirt still collects there, so clean the caliper area and check pad thickness each season.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or approval test for this pad and offer it for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
