DescriptionThe whole story▼

The World Raid is a tall, long-legged machine, and manoeuvring it at walking pace is much easier with a gentle rear brake. Accossato rear pad AGPP91 in the Organic (OR) compound is aimed at owners who ride their Ténéré 700 World Raid mostly on the road. Accossato lists AGPP91 for the World Raid with the years 2022 to 2026. OR is designed for a soft, quiet response and long disc life.

Key Features

  • Rear pad AGPP91 in the Organic (OR) compound
  • Listed for the Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid, 2022-2026
  • Accossato: longer performance, limited disc wear
  • Soft response for walking-pace manoeuvres
  • Quiet in everyday traffic
  • Two pads, full rear set
  • Also offered as ST and STMX

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's short description of Organic is that it keeps performing over a long time and spares the disc. On a World Raid used between trips on paved roads, that fits the rear brake's gentle workload. Accossato also claims slow wear, reduced fade and strong stopping power for its pads in general; we pass these on as its own statements.

Handling a Tall Bike Slowly

With its long suspension, the World Raid is tall, and riders of average height often only touch the ground with their toes. In a car park or a tight U-turn, a light, steady drag of the rear brake keeps the bike upright and controllable without affecting the steering. That needs a pad that bites softly and predictably from cold, which is the purpose of OR. For long trips in any weather, ST is the steadier choice; for dirt, STMX.

Servicing the Rear

Because the World Raid's long swingarm puts the rear caliper well out of the way, pad wear is easy to overlook. Make a habit of peering at the friction material every time the chain gets its lube. Fitting a fresh pair takes little more than a clean-up of the caliper body, a gentle push on the piston and several strokes of the pedal to restore its firmness. Riders heading for longer journeys later in the year can keep a set of ST pads in the garage and swap before departure.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP91 for the XTZ 700 Ténéré World Raid with the years 2022 to 2026. The rear has one caliper, so one box is a complete set. At the front, Accossato lists AGPA29.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or test documents for AGPP91OR, so it is supplied for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
