DescriptionThe whole story▼

For many young riders the Yamaha YZF-R125 is the first real motorcycle, bought for the ride to school, college or an apprenticeship. For its front brake from 2014 to 2024, Accossato offers the AGPA101 pad in the Organic (OR) compound. It is the calm, forgiving option: a lever that responds cleanly from cold, a brake that runs quietly in traffic, and a material that Accossato says gives longer performance and limits disc wear. Newcomers and budget-minded commuters are the riders it suits most.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Yamaha YZF-R125, 2014 to 2024
  • AGPA101 shape in the Organic (OR) compound, item AGPA101OR
  • Long service life and a disc-friendly material, per Accossato
  • Clean, progressive bite for riders gaining experience
  • Two pads per box, the set for one caliper
  • ST, EV1 and EV2 versions of the same pad also listed
  • No German ABE on file; supplied for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's organic AGPA101 is designed to last and to go easy on the rotor. For a learner-friendly bike like the R125, which may cover a great deal of commuting over its life, that combination keeps running costs down. The pads also limit heat build-up and fade, and wear slowly. Each box contains two pads, one set for a single caliper.

A Brake to Learn With

New riders tend to be cautious with the front brake, often too cautious. A pad that bites gently at first and builds up progressively helps them discover how much stopping power the front tyre can take, without any nasty surprises. That is exactly the character an organic pad brings to the YZF-R125. Riding school instructors often stress smooth, progressive braking, and this material rewards it. Riders who later want a sportier response, or who ride mostly in the wet, can choose the EV1 or ST versions of the AGPA101.

Simple Maintenance

Look at the pad thickness regularly through the caliper opening. When changing pads, clean the pistons before pushing them back, check the fluid level and keep the disc clean. After fitting, pump the lever until firm and bed in with gentle stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA101 for the front of the Yamaha YZF-R125 from 2014 to 2024; earlier bikes from 2008 to 2013 are not covered by this pad in our data. At the rear, the AGPA173 is listed for 2008 to 2018 and the AGPP99 for 2019 to 2024. Accossato also names the DK245 disc for the model. Check how many front calipers your bike has, as one box serves one.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test documentation for this pad, so it is sold for circuit and competition riding.
