DescriptionThe whole story▼

The KTM 250 SX-F is the four-stroke quarter-litre motocrosser that many riders move to after the smaller classes, and it spends a lot of its life on training laps. For its front brake, Accossato lists the AGPA29 pad; this page is the Organic compound, for the 250 SX-F from 2005 to 2026. It is a sensible choice for a rider building up skills and hours, for a parent maintaining a youth racer's bike on a budget, or for anyone who wants long pad life and a disc that lasts.

Key Features

  • Front set AGPA29 for the KTM 250 SX-F, 2005 to 2026
  • Organic compound, SKU AGPA29OR
  • Accossato claims long performance and limited disc wear
  • Gentle initial bite for riders still learning to brake late
  • Quiet and smooth, even on a cold morning
  • Alternatives on the same plate: ST, STMX and EV1
  • No German ABE with us; for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato sums up the Organic version as a pad that works for a long time and spares the rotor. For a busy training bike like the 250 SX-F, this directly lowers running costs: fewer pad changes, and a disc that can stay in service longer. The lining is carried by the normal AGPA29 backing plate, so nothing about the front caliper changes.

Learning to Brake on a Four-Stroke

Riders stepping up to the 250 SX-F often need time to adapt to engine braking, which is stronger than on a two-stroke, and to stronger front brake use at higher corner-entry speeds. A soft, forgiving bite is easier to learn on: it lets the rider squeeze progressively and feel the front tyre load, rather than having the wheel stop abruptly at the first touch. As skills grow, the rider can always move to a sharper compound.

At every wheel change, look at the remaining lining and the disc surface. Clean dust from the pistons before pushing them home, pump the lever until firm, and run a few moderate stops to bed in the fresh pair.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the KTM 250 SX-F we list the AGPA29 front pad for model years 2005 to 2026. Accossato's own list names the SX-F 250 with a wider span, so owners of other years should compare pads before ordering. The rear pad for this bike is AGPP80, and discs DK017, DK018 and DK259 are also available. The 250 SX-F has one front caliper, so one box is enough.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or test certificate for AGPA29OR; these pads are sold for competition and off-road sport.

Scope of Delivery

A box of two Organic AGPA29 pads for one caliper.
