DescriptionThe whole story

A naked bike has nothing behind the rider, so a hard stop puts the whole Z H2 on the front tyre. That is the job of the B007: 85.0 by 51.0 mm of ceramic-sintered material, 8.0 mm deep, in the Brembo caliper. EXR reached the market in September 2026 and takes over from EXC Endurance in the B007 too.

Key Features

  • Low noise and low rotor scoring, which on a Z H2 means the discs outlast several sets of pads
  • Country of origin Japan; ZCOO does not source its friction material outside its own plant
  • Ceramic sintering rather than a resin binder, so there is nothing in the B007 to cook out at the top of the range
  • Identical B007 geometry to the EX Race version, so switching compounds on the Z H2 changes nothing about fitting
  • Developed on the same ceramic platform ZCOO supplies to endurance teams at Suzuka and the Bol d'Or
  • The B007 is one of 16 shapes ZCOO builds; this is the one your Brembo caliper takes

Construction and Material Quality

Manufacture is Japanese and unchanged across the range, the B007 included. The B007 plate is laser-cut from an alloy chosen for stiffness at working temperature, not at room temperature. Both details exist so the B007 keeps its pressure distribution honest as it wears down.

Performance and Feel

On the Z H2 the EXR compound moves the argument from feel to authority. On the Kawasaki Z H2 that means a lever which still has something to say at the end of the zone. On the Kawasaki Z H2 that turns a violent event into a metered one.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Z H2 of 2020 to 2026 the B007 is the shape ZCOO lists. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Front axle only. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
