New headers, not a new sticker. For the Euro5+ Daytona 660, Spark changed the header length and diameter rather than adapting the previous system — and paired them with a racing catalytic converter heavily impregnated with noble metals to meet the newer standard.
Key Features
- Euro5+ homologated full system for the Triumph Daytona 660, 2025 to 2026.
- 6.2 kg against 8.1 kg standard.
- Moto GP silencer, AISI 304 stainless collector with pre-silencer box, Scotch-Brite finish.
- Header length and diameter reworked for the Euro5+ engine.
- Racing catalytic converter, heavily impregnated with noble metals.
- No mapping or ECU modification required.
What Months of Work Changed
Spark states that the header was modified in both length and diameter to optimise gas flow and improve engine response. That is a more meaningful statement than a power claim, because primary length and diameter are what actually determine where a three-cylinder makes its torque.
The aesthetics of the previous system were kept. What changed is underneath: the pipe dimensions, and a new catalytic converter developed to satisfy Euro5+ while still allowing what Spark calls tangible performance gains.
Approved Without Touching the ECU
Spark's R&D worked to define the optimal configuration for this engine while maximising power and delivery without requiring any modification to the mapping or the ECU.
That is the practical value of a homologated system over a race one. No dyno time, no flashed map, no error codes, and nothing to explain at the next service — and the motorcycle keeps its registration.
It Also Fits the Trident
Spark notes that this Euro5+ version is approved and fully compatible with the Trident 660 as well, which widens what a single part number covers. Our fitment data follows the dealer price list, which lists it for the Daytona 660 — so if you have a Euro5+ Trident and want this exact system, ask us and we will confirm the approval against your documents.
Spark builds the same system in two silencer finishes: this one with the bare Scotch-Brite silencer, and a version whose Moto GP silencer is done in Spark's dark style. The AISI 304 collector and pre-silencer box are identical on both.
Why Euro5+ Needed a New Part
Euro5+ tightened what an exhaust has to achieve, and a catalyst designed for the earlier standard does not simply carry over. Spark's answer was a new racing converter with a heavier noble-metal impregnation — the loading is what does the converting, and more of it means the cell structure can stay open.
That is the reason a homologated Spark system can claim performance gains rather than losses. A cheap converter meets the standard by restricting; an expensive one meets it by converting efficiently.
Fitment & Compatibility
Triumph Daytona 660, 2025 through 2026; Spark also lists the Trident 660 as approved for this system. The dark-silencer version is GTR8829DOM, at the same list price. The Trident and Tiger Sport systems for the same years are GTR8830IOM, GTR8830BOM, GTR8831TOM and GTR8831DOM. The racing titanium alternative is GTR8832T.
Road Approval
Euro5+ homologated. Legal for road use as supplied, with no ECU modification.
